Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is an American author, singer and actress best known for playing Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage performance in the 1950s. Following that, she performed on Broadway for a number of productions until 1957 in which Li'l abner was huge at the National Theater. In 1957, she also made her debut album called It's time for Tina. Louise made her foray into Hollywood as Griselda Walden in God's Small Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The movie received wide acclaim and Louise received the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. In this time, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. The next memorable role she played was in 1964. She was signed by CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour continued to successfully move between Broadway and Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character opposed her perceived image as a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In the last few years Tapping has also emerged as an acclaimed director of well-known television shows like Supernatural and The 100. Her family moved out of Essex to Toronto and she lived there for her childhood and teenage years. After being chosen for the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She is a resident of Vancouver ever from then on.
