
Carrie-Anne Moss, born August 21, 1967 is a Canadian actor from Canada. Her fame was boosted by her role as Trinity in The Matrix (1999-present) after doing a handful of roles on television. Memento (2000) was her first major role. She won the Independent Spirit Award, Best Female Supporting Character, Red Planet (2000). Chocolat (2000), Fido (2006), Snow Cake (2006). Snow Cake (2006) was awarded the Genie Award, Best Performance by an Actress. Disturbia (2007). Unthinkable (2010). Silent Hill: Revelation (2012). Pompeii (2014). Jessica Jones (2015) to 2019 was her most recent TV series. She also appeared in Jeri Hogarth. Moss was in Spain at the time, was offered the role as Tara Marshall, the clerk to Judge Nicholas Marshall, in Dark Justice. It was her first time on TV. In the course of the show, she made the move from Barcelona to Los Angeles in 1992. Moss left Dark Justice in the third and final season. She was replaced by Elisa Hingsohn as Samantha Collins. After her return to the US, she was enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. She was a model, and also starred in Models Inc., a Fox primetime soap television. The show was ended July 1, 1995. The show was a made-in-Canada series entitled Matrix. Through the 1990s she appeared in numerous television shows such as Street Justice and Baywatch. She also appeared on F/X: The Series and Due South. Due South received her a nomination for the Gemini Award for Best Guest Artist in the field of Drama. Her film roles included many B movies including Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (94), Tough Guy (94), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (191996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
